We recommend to use proper equipment or hand tools for mechanical work with cement-bonded particle boards.
Always use personal protection equipment: gloves, shoes.
Cement-bonded particle boards are transported in a vertical position or in a horizontal position on a pallet.
Dust is emitted during the processing of the panels, although it is not dangerous for health, we suggest to use protective glasses and respiratory masks.
Mechanisation
CBPB can be drilled with a typical drill and a screw for metal.
When cutting panels, you can use a hand saw, a portable saw and stationary table saws. The teeth of the saw blade should be alternating or trapezoidal for wood or metal. When cutting panels, it is necessary to take into account that cutting reduces the size of the board by the thickness of the saw.
The edges of the board can be milled.
Finishing
CBPB is compatible with a wide range of decorative and protective coatings.
The most suitable are solvent-based acrylic varnishes, usually suitable for application on concrete.
Before applying any coating, the surface of the board must be absolutely dry, clean and free of salts, oils or fats.
Fastening systems
Screws are the most common fastening system for CBPB due to the simplicity and efficiency.
When used externally, CBPB are subjected to changes in size depending on the impact of the sun and changes of air humidity. For this reason, we recommend to use bolts with an outer head diameter slightly larger than the hole. For external use stainless steel bolts should be used.
